Since people can be quick to mouth-off about a company when things go wrong,i'd like to take this opportunity to give Screwfix some positive feedback. Over 12 months had past since i purchased an item which subsequently developed a defect. An email was sent to them asking if they could offer any advice. Within an hour (it was gone 20:00hrs), i had received a response not offering advice but informing me a new unit was being dispatched the following day as an offer of goodwill and they would be sending a courier to uplift the old unit - all at their expense - Screwfix, well done

Now that's what you call service! [IMG]

Now I wonder if ScrewFix Direct would be willing to buy Currys/Dixons/Comet etc.? :rotfl:

Did exactly the same to me when the charger of my 24V cordless drill packed up, took the whole lot back and gave me a brand new everything. Mine was still in warranty, but them arranging pick up and replacing the whole kit, not just the defective bit was impressive.

They're owned by B&Q who could learn a lot from them!

Have used them for many years.

They lost the plot a few months back when they relocated their distribution centre and introduced some bizarre packaging systems.

Since then they seem to have been working extra hard to restore customer confidence and I'm pleased to say that the service is back to the excellent standard it was before.
