Hello, I'm looking for your professional advice, after reading these threads for about 8 months now.

I've finally got £2000 (or thereabouts) to spend. I have decided on a Panasonic 42".

Do I go for the 42PE50 and buy a seperate home cinema system to compliment the sound...

OR

Do I buy the new 42PV500 with no seperate speaker set up. (Because I BELIEVE that the sound on the new 500 series is much better quality).

I will be using it for SKY and DVDs, and am not too bothered about HD ready UNLESS it is absolutely necessary in order to watch satellite telly next year because of the new Digital SKY?

I really appreciate and value your comments and opinions.

The PV500 has got a few extras such as VGA input, SD reader, PIP options and much better sound.
Are you planning to get the new xbox360 or PS3, beacuse they will also be HD.

They are about £400 difference, the choice is yours...

No, I have an Xbox, but I play that on a 32" CRT in a different room !

It's whether I will eventually NEED HD on my TV, because I don't want to be replacing it in 2 or 3 years time !
