I bought a 9986 with 1.3 sw version onboard. I asked the retailer for a new 9986 with 2.5 sw onboard but since there are not more of them available he wants to give me a new 9830. Should I accept (considerind that there are still no reviews for the 9830 or ask for my money back?

I'd definitely take it! From the 'word of mouth' reviews so far, the 9830 is at least as good as the 9986. The only question marks remain about whether it is really better, or whether some of the niggles of the 9986 are resolved.

Say 'yes' before he changes his mind if I were you!!

    Yes! Go for it!

The 9830 is really just a 9986 with better connectivity and a motorized stand! (and a few other wee bits and bobs)
