When I play bluray discs with a high def audio track my amp displays LPCM 48khz, should this not be 96khz?
I am usina PS3 as the player and my amp is a Sony DA3200ES. Any ideas?

The HD formats are capable of 96khz, but this isn't to say that 96khz is mandatory or that all the audio will be 96khz. A very high proportion of all HD audio still uses a sample rate of 48khz.
