963sa decoder

    just a simple question that i am not sure of, if I buy the philips 963sa which has built in decoders and hook it up to an amplifier will I get dts and dolby digital from the speakers of the aplifier?
    or do I need a special dts amp


    please help?:lesson:

    If the amp has DTS & AC3 decoders just use digital out from DVD player to Digital In on Amp.

    If Amp doesn't have decoders use 5.1 analog outs on DVD player to 5.1 analog In's on Amp. If you are using SACD you may need to do this route as well for that.
