    Agree with JC

    How are you splitting it,

Three possible problems, Splitter is not power passing (led on eye does not come on), Faceplate is not power passing (led still doesnt come on) or the splitter can not pass the IR frequencies.

    HTH.

hi, I have exactly the same setup. Sky+ in lounge connected via scart, rf out to loft into a Y splitter and then fed down to bedroom and kitchen. We found that you had to have a magic eye in both the kitchen and the bedroom to balance the 9v or it wouldn't work.

Could it be that one of the magic eyes you are using is dodgy?

If it's a plastic "Y" splitter that's probably the problem.
Some are "Isolated"...they usually have a DC blocking capacitor which allows the RF signal through but stops the 9v DC from getting through.
If you do go for a 4w booster make sure it has "Digital Bypass" in its specs.

I am just using a standard "Y" splitter on my system, it works fine. Grand cost of less than £1.

Silly question but, have you switched the RF power outlet on from the menu on the sky box?

I had the second magic eye connected to a further TV making two TV sets on this line which upset the balance
but disconnected this and you were right
ordinary y splitter when connected to two magic eyes balance the supply and all works
I am very grateful to all that replied and wish that all sites were as good as this one
    Kind regards

    Mike:clap:

Excellent. I thought it was odd you were having these problems. I also had these problem when initially messing about with magic eyes. Its a reasurringly simply solution in the end!
