    Hi all

I have recently purchased a dell poweredge T20 and need some ram

    Either 8gb (1 x 8gb) for now
    or

    16 GB (2x 8gb) price depending

DDR3 pc3 12800 1600mhz ECC unbuffered ram, apparently non ECC works in this box too although I have not tested myself

    What you got ?

I have a 1x16GB stick of PC12800 EEC somewhere which I'm not using (I was sent in error when ordering desktop RAM, and then Christmas got in the way of returning it).

Would that be usable in your server, or are you limited to 8gb per slot?

I'm in Cardiff, btw so could sort something quite easily for cash on collection/delivery. Let me know, and I'll see if I can find it and give you some details/price.

Hi mate, I think that they can take up to 8GB per slot, as the max it can hold is 32GB RAM, I would have to test it to see, if you have the model/part number/picture I can find out.
