Hi there,
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I've just bought a 50PUS8536 and am having some audio issues.
Setup:
HDMI 1 - Xbox Series X
HDMI 2 - Nintendo Switch
TOSLINK - Logitech z906
Problem:
Any audio from either device when the TV is set to Multichannel (Settings>Sound>Advanced>Digital Out Format) results in loud distorted screeching following a power cycle. It works fine at first, but then once cycled it screeches horrifically.
After a few experiments I've discovered that even if the Xbox and switch are powered down the TV will continue to send something to the speakers that causes this noise.
I can negative the issue if I change the TV to send a Stereo signal, but then the receiver has nothing to decode and defaults to stereo sound.
It seems that everything works fine until the TV stops receiving a signal that the receiver needs to decode and it then just blasts noise.
Any help would be appreciated!
