Does anyone know if Nokia are going to replace the 8310?
It was replaced a few years ago and i guess the 7210 was its replacement.
I don't think so. Perhaps you are thinking of the 8210?
It doesn't follow that they would replace it with that anyway, to start with my 7210 is bigger than an 8310 and Nokia usually stick to a model numbering pattern.
For example: 8210 -> 8310 -> 8x10
Logically it would be the 8410, do they have any intention of this?
Not sure if they'll bother, as a like for like with todays choices the 6100 is a similar size, but now colour but no radio.
The 6230 is probably the best replacement, it's small, has MMC slot, bluetooth etc
They would of brought out by now if they were going to carry on from the 8310 as its a very old phone nowadays.
So the 7210 is the nearest to the 8310 in price and spec.
Thanks Andrew, I was just checking if anyone knew about a potential replacement.
It's not very old actually, and if I'm not going mad I remember that it was only discontinued last year.
Are you sure you're not thinking of the 8210?
Nope..I did have a 8310 (8210 before that) about 2 yrs ago and then it wasn't that new and even the 7210 feels old nowadays,phones have moved on in a big way,cameras,coloured screens etc etc
Anyway still a good little phone and i guess you like yours so why dont you just keep it cos i dont think nokia is going to replace it in the near future.
Yes the 7210 is a bit old now, what mostly annoys me is the size of it.
The only colour option is the 6100, otherwise I'll have to go back to mono screen.
