    Remember this one isn't multi-region.

    That's why I said 'almost'.

As a VHS vcr replacement unit it represent excellent value for money.

There are other places do multiregion units but at over £50 extra.
Aslo there were some reports that the multiregion mods have some unwanted side effects....

For anyone who might be interested, I, and at least one other forum member, managed to get RS to price beat at £355 (and yes with a multiregion recorder). IMHO, the extra £50 might have been better spend by puting toward a dedicated multiregion player eg. from RS off course space permitting.

Have a look at the excellent review thread started by numew33 [http://www.avforums.com/frame.html?...m/forums/showthread.php?p=1067272#post1067272 ]

    Hope this helps

What a great piece of kit.

The only down side is that it can't record in NTSC and will not playback DVD+R/RW or SVCD.

The editing feature is a pain in the ass to work out, but nice to have.

What is it like with cheap DVD-R media ?
