It is a very good CD if you get the version with the extra sampler disc.

But Shoka - to most hip-hop fans the artists won't be considered unknown!:D

I understand what your saying though - the average public won't really know of the likes of Gangstarr, Obie Trice & Rakim - all are REALLY good though IMO:)

Could always take or leave Eminem, but his tracks on the 8 Mile soundtrack are superb. His best ever stuff if you ask me.

If only he weren't such a trailer-trash hickster  :D

But don't you find that this has helped to contribute to his music?

You mean because it's kept his lyrics "close to the ground"?

Yes they are. I have to say I really did not like Eminem when he first came out. I thought what is this babba  but he needs a good few listens before you get to like him. Also with having all of his CD's is quite amazing to hear how he has matured in his music. I think he just keeps getting better and better. :)

Does your collection include 'Infinite'. This was his first ever album from about 1996 - roughly about the same time that 8 Mile was set. Even back then his word play was amazing.

Ive got it on vinyl, and paid about £30 for it.

Apparently it was only released in detroit, havent seen it on CD yet. Although it is more of a duet album with proof, as they both rap as much as each other.
