Since my fx5200 has a 7pin din (s-video out), using the extra 3 pins, can it be used to output an rgb signal?

this would suggest that of the extra 3 pins, 1 is not connected and the other two are for composite output (hence the composite adaptor most graphics cards ship with)

I remember reading about this somewhere before, and i'm sure that some cards did output RGB from it, although I can't confirm that. It may have been using modified cards though, i'm not sure. Certainly possible though considering the ATI X800 series outputs component through it's s-vid port
