I know this isn't entirely AV related, but I thought it would be nice to give www.7dayshop.com a plug.

They've been very reliable, and have some outstanding deals. They mainly provide photographic equipment, but they also do a lot of computer/memory bits and bobs. Batteries of all shapes and sizes are particularly cheap.

Mind you, their DVDs are a bit pricey...

its often the way . You get good service when things go right but as soon as something goes wrong they don't really want to help.
    Other companies make more effort.
They should have sent a £40 item recorded and then we would not have this problem, they are a waste of space and I would not use them again

I've got nothing but praise for them. Ordered quite a few bits and bobs and never had a problem - as have many others I know. Some of their prices are waaay lower than elsewhere too.

Isn't it normal for most companies to say 'allow 28 days for delivery'? That's about a month...

Was it under a month ago that you ordered the item?

The biggest bargain seems to be camera batteries: they're just under 8 quid for a C2 in Sainsbury's, and less than a quarter of that from 7dayshop.

no , they say 5 days , they accept it is lost but say they will have to make a claim on my behalf from the post office and I will have to wait for my money.
This is rubbish as the claim is by them and for them.
They should have given me my money straight back.
They are not worth dealing with.

to be fair their stuff comes from Guernsey and they are at the mercy of the Post Office. If it goes missing the 28 day thing is standard and related to when they can claim from the Post Office. The extra delays in stuff coming from the island doesn't help.

I had something not arrive, but it was cause the postie had not put the card through the door or something. It went all the way back and was redelivered perfectly.

I think they're ace and mind bogglingly cheap for camera film.

    More problems
I sent them an email after the 28 days saying it had still not arrived and I wanted my money back and they replied that they had put a replacement in the post , are they thick!
