Just ordered a 757 (should turn up at the end of week) and the dealer thinks it may be modded for PAL prog, so does anyone now what my PJ should display if it gets a PAL prog signal.

I'll test it and let people now if it is PAL prog.

    Cheers

AFAIK, the 10ht does support 576p (625p) which is PAL progressive, vua component inputs. So, it should display an image!!!!!

Sorry I meant the label that shows video source i.e. for interlaced the menu shows 15K/50 for PAL and 15K/60 for NTSC.

Just need it to confirm it get's a prog signal and not an interlaced one, even though the DVD player will claim it's PAL prog.

It doesn't appear to be. NTSC Prog is fine, PAL still comes up as 15K/50.

Do some more playing if I ever get out of work !

The Sony 10/11/12HT show the following for interlaced & progressive on component input:-

    NTSC: 15k/60 (interlaced) & 480/60p (progressive)
    PAL: 15k/50 (interlaced) & 625/50p (progressive) (might be 576!)

That was via a 'modded' Pioneer 747.

One word of warning regarding the PAL progressive mod ... it is permanent i.e. you can't output interlaced via the component sockets. The interlaced/progressive software switch in the menu only works for NTSC.
