I posted one similar thread but i´ve now seen some new sets that could be better.

My room is medium/large and my main interests are Music DVD, Films, and X-box, by this order. And they need to be small.

1-KEF KHT1005
2-Mission M70+MS8
3-Klipsch: Quintet II
4-Mordaunt Short Premier System
5-Tannoy FX5.1
6-Harman Kardon HKTS 12
7-Mission M3s
8-JAMO DVR50
9-INFINITY OREUS 6.1
10-ENERGY TAKE 5.2

What do you think?

Hi Johnny,

You can get the KEF 2005.2 for under £700 - I would go for these instead of the 1005 range.

Infinity Oreus hands down mate!
also consider MS premiere Plus instead of the ordinary prems.
Aslo look at canton CD1 range £450 5.1 or £520 6.1 see what you think.

Thanks for your reply.
Many people say that is better to ear the speakers before you buy them, but the problem is that in Portugal there aren´t stores that would make that kind of demo. So i have to rely on advices and reviews.

The Canton CD1 looks very good, but i wasnt able to find reviews on them.

Haven't used the Mission m70s in a multichannel setup with the MS8 sub, but I've been running a pair of m70s with a Yamaha receiver for a good while now and they work really well in my small room. I would think they'd work effectively in a multichannel setup in a larger room.

it's a bit far to go to listen to something i can't get at staff prices!!! I'm sure that would make my stuff a better buy for me, They can't be THAT good can they?

They so can be! Depends what you get at "staff" rates and what that equates to in real terms. IE is 10% off retail or is it trade, or is it cost + vat???
