Does the 3802 ever display "7.1" on the display. I have two back speakers and it doesn´t matter if I have the back surrounds set to matrixed or to non matrixed the display always says 6.1. Is 7.1 maybe when it says "discrete"?

I have not managed to get it to say 7.1 as yet. 6.1 refers simply to surround back being active whether one or two speakers is used, I assume. I have played all the available sound fomats on it and that is all it says. I have only had my 3802 for a few weeks so maybe some0ne with some technical information on the displays out their. Do you like the machine.

    It wont display 7.1.

For DTS Discrete it will show 6.1 as well.

Technically there is no 7.1 format, its actually 6.1 but on some amps you have the 2nd rear centre channel.
