I bought the Hisense 65ae7400ftuk last week and I'm not happy with it.

It's got a glitch on the motion smoothing which makes it impossible to turn off permanently and you've got to turn of off each time you turn the TV on.

On top of this I've noticed an intermittent subtle flicker on Netflix (through apple tv) when going from one scene to the next. The contrast / brightness can also visibly have a delayed change from one scene to another.

Some of this could be fixed by tinkering and settings etc, but wondering what my options are.

Budget is a max of about £800 and 4 hdmi would be a bonus.

You should be able to fix the glitch by turning off fast startup on the TV.
I think the TCL 8 series would be the best alternative.

Mid tier in my best buy guide above.

That does appear to have fixed the glitch and the flicker 🤔 I'll persevere with it. It only cost me £550. Thank you.

Glad it helps. Its a bug on all of their TVs in 2020 actually, report it to them if you can so hopefully they can fix it.
