Xbox/GC/Dreamcast use PAL60 but the PS2 uses NTSC instead of PAL60

PAL is the color encoding system and does a better job of it. PAL is usually used alongside a 50hz refresh rate but as the name suggests, PAL60 is PAL color with a 60hz scan rate (and the same number of lines on screen as NTSC).

NTSC is also 60hz, but uses NTSC color and doesn't always look as good.

Use an RGB SCART cable and you will get RGB50 or RGB60 (RGB is better than both PAL and NTSC).
