is the samsung le32m87bdx any good? or the TX32LXD70? how do they compare to the sharp you suggested? as i think its between these 3 now. i heard the samsung has rubbish sound, the guy in the shop told me, ironically be wouldn't let me listen to see what i thought, so he could be talking rubbish to get me to buy the d3000

so which is the best

any reason for the bias? here is a review comparing the r87 to the panny. and it seems like the samsung wins which is a 100 pounds cheaper. hmmm what are your thoughts on that?

this is hard :(

Had the same decision to make as you this time last week, plumped for the Panasonic 32LXD70 £578 delivered came this morning.

Read all the reviews I could find on it and nobody had a bad word to say, this is one of the reviews that swung it.

All the TV's quoted have their selling pointsn though seems this is one of the most competitive sectors, you will probably change your mind half a dozen times anyway.....

i am in the same position as you and am torn between the Samsung for value and the Panasonic for quality! i read more issues about the samsung but expect that is because more people have them. the samsung can be got for 460 ish (empire direct) and the panasonic 588 (currys). the question is £100 - what are the benefits to you? I am thinking 100Hz = less motion isues, to me that is quite important but then there are reports of high pitch buzzing...
In short i dont know which either!

Hi mate how are you finding it and where did you get it from? without you going looking for issues, have you noticed any high pitched buzzing?

I have read a number of reviews and it says, the black levels are not that good, and there is a high pitch buzzing from the tv. is this true??

I have the LE32M86 and is very very good !
No motion blur and very good picture.
bad points : rather poor viewing angle (but swidel pannel, then it's not a big problem) and rather weak sound
I love this Tv "better than teather", i never watched that much dvd. But with this screen i want to see them again !!!
Very very good with x360 via VGA.

I've seen the m86 in real life, amazing tv, but i dont know if the panny is better. how bad is the viewing angles? Since i will be the only person watching it, maybe 3 at most,as i will be wall mounting it. and what about SD is that any good? as i have only seen it in HD

If you are just in front tv, black are very very good. Then it's fantastic for gaming... But it's become greyer rather quickly. It's not that bad, but the third person will have blacks more greyer... That doesn't bother my wife....
Then for 2-3 persons that must be good (but pana with alpha panel it's better in viewing angle).
SD it's very good via freeview and DVD. Analogic it pretty bad

VEry very good tv... but better than pana... i don't know

hmm, well as i will be the only one using it, 99% of the time, i dont think the viewing angles matter, what about the vertical viewing angles? is that any good? what about when you connect it to your pc is that any good?

I have owned a Panasonic for about 2 months or so now...the LXD70.

I have also seen the Samsung. IMO the Panny beats it, but check them both out for yourself if you can. I would also suggest viewing them both with the differing levels of cinematic modes (e.g dynamic, cinema, normal etc.), as enhanced reds and other colours may distory your initial opinion.

Good hunting!

ah, ill true i need to find a shop which actually stocks the panny.

Try John Lewis, if there's one close. Also currys might still stock, but make sure its a LXD70 and not the LMD70 model.

JL might do a pricematch they didn't with me, and they were quoting £899 some months ago:eek:!! But is appears one of the other posters has mentioned on the previous page that he obtained it for £599, much more acceptable:thumbsup:
