60 inch OK at 9ft ? (HD only)

Hi,

I'm potentially going to be buying an LG 60PS8000 to put in a second bedroom/cinema room.

The sofa will be just over 9ft from the wall mounted screen. Is this too close for a 60 inch plasma? I'll be using it for XBOX 360, PS3, Blu-Ray and a few upscaled DVDs. Esentially HD only. I appreciated SD might look terrible at this distance!

Any help is appreciated

Thanks.

You'd have no issues at all sat at 9' It helps most of your sources are HD. SD varies so much anyhow. I sit 10' from my 50" and wish it was a 60

I know a lot of Pio owners with 60" screens are sat closer than 9' :smashin:

Also you'd get used to the size in weeks if not days :)

Im watching a 50" G10 from 6-7 feet away and even Freeview is acceptable for me (blu-rays look fantastic of course) so going by that, Id say 9ft for a 60" would be fine.

I wouldnt want a 60" at my viewing range though - that might be a bit TOO much even for me! :D
