Hi,

The following amp and speakers are in my wish list:
  • Yamaha RX-A2050 Amp
  • Yamaha NS-777 Front Speakers, rated at 6-ohm
  • Yamaha NS-555 Rear Speakers, rated at 6-ohm
  • Yamaha NS-333 Surround Speakers, rated at 6-ohm
  • Yamaha NS-C444 Center Speaker, rated at 6-ohm
  • BIC Acoustech PL-200II Subwoofer, rated at 8-ohm
In the amplifier manual, the following is stated for Setting the speaker impedance:

"Under its default settings, the unit is configured for 8-ohm speakers. When using a 6-ohm speaker for any channel, set the speaker impedance to “6-ohm MIN”. In this case, you can also use 4-ohm speakers as the front speakers."

If I set the default to 6-ohm, will there be issues with the subwoofer?

Your subwoofer is a powered one( unless I am mistaken), so will have no influence.

That said, let everything at the default 8 Ohm setting, there is no way why you would want it set at 4 Ohm......
