Can anyone recommend a reasonably decent 5m power cable for my LCD which arrived today. I going to mount on a wall & run the cables between the cavity, but the one supplied is ridicoulsy short.

Why do manufacturers not bother with such an obvious issue when so many people wall mount thier LCD's & plasmas on the wall. :thumbsdow

I was told by my brother (who's a sparky) that manufacturers of electrical equipment like TV's, aren't allowed to supply a power cable over 2 metres long. Something to do with discouraging its use in a bathroom from a mains socket outside.

I couldn't find a 5 metre power lead for my projector anywhere!
So, I bought the bits from Maplins and made my own.

In the end found a Belkin 3m extension cable from Dabs.com for less than a tenner, perfect.
