    Hi !

Has anyone tried 576i (HDMI) from the 868i to IScan HD+ and if so how would you rate it´s PQ ? Also has anyone compate it against SDI and if so which one did you prefer ?

I´m also interested in if I outputed 765i(HDMI) from 868i to IScan HD+ could I still adjust gamma etc. in 868i ?

The 868 HDMI works well with the HD+, Use 576P instead of 576I, although I think 576I looks a bit sharper than 576P, you also see a lot of Interlace shimmmer, I think DVDO still have some work to do with 576I over DVI

    There's a new firmware update for the HD+ to accept 480 i and 576i.
A glaring omission beforehand, caused, I believe, by the DVI interface standard that specifies a minimum data rate threashold based on VGA rather than SD video that disables the input.

you can adjust gamma fron the 868 but you should not need to set gamma on the 868, just use the Direct setting and make any required brightness/contrast adjustment on the IScan. I think currently 576P from the 868 is better than 576i though

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can set the 868 to interlaced-thru-hdmi.
576p is however the way to go on the 868 because component video is rather mediocre.

868 will do interlaced over HDMI. One of the few players that will.

    Hi Barend,

I'm afraid I'm going to have to correct you, you can :)

whether your receiving equipment supports it is another matter.
the ISCan HD+ beta software does.
