    B7 is far superior. However given the viewing distance you should consider going up to 65”.

    You will want to get the highest quality TV you can get if you can't upsize as your gains from UHD will be limited to none at that distance from a 55". Be wary to spend money on any UHD non HDR sources like SkyQ. At 2.5m I can't notice when amazon switches to UHD from FHD on my 65" TV. I have to be around 1.4m away to notice a difference.

    Also beware of having to game at lower frame rate in some titles if you use UHD.

    cheers for help all. sky q i will get for free. i appreciate the limitations of not being close enough to maximise benefits. despite that, i only have 50” tv at the moment, so size increase and improved Pq should help

    Yes, most people don't or can't sit close enough to benefit from UHD but resolution is only one part of the story, you will see gains elsewhere from higher quality sources no matter what the resolution. With Sky for example you will probably see the UHD channels look better because they transmit at higher bandwidth, not because they are higher resolution compared to HD :)

    ordered B7 £1174 from RS. the xf9005 is same price at co op, but the OLED seems a better bargain. thanks for peoples help
