5508/5507 assign xlr problems

hi im trying to get my oppo player which has xlr outputs working on my receiver
ive gone blue in the face over the last three days trying get analogue. ive read page 47 in the Manual but no joy ,
they say the oppo outputs from the xlr all the time i just cant get it to work on the onkyo

hhhhhheeeeelllppp all i would like to do is say press game or phono and hear it through the xlr s

is it the input/output menu and then analogue assign ???

Hi, have you had a look via the oppo menu to asign the xlr out.

all outputs on the oppo are live .

i wonder if its not possible to have rca running from the naim at the same time ?
they go into the tv/cd

go to home menu scroll to audio

then look for hdmi and right click until you see balanced or analogue .

Leon - I have the exact same setup (5508 and BDP95). I want to run audio via XLR (all around the whole system - CD/BD, Preamp, Amp) and Video via HDMI. Can you tell me what you set your 5508 to and what you set your BDP 95 to? I have been trying for two days and just cannot figure it out!

Oh, and to complicate matters, my sub only has an RCA input! Not sure if I can configure all this. I sure appreciate the help.
