55" LG OLED Cx or Sony XH95?

Looking to finally upgrade my trusty Panasonic Plasma 42" which has excellent picture quality but only 720p! (Several Years old)

I am looking for best bang for buck with a good quality picture. Won't be upgrading it any time soon until it breaks essentially.

Devices I would be connecting up are PS5, Nvidia Shield and Sky Q. Material consumed would be football, and streaming movies on netflix and from the shield.
Gaming would be perhaps 1hr a day or less.

TV watching would not be in a totally dark room. Evening watching would be with a lit lamp on the opposite side of room.

The two sets i have narrowed it down to, LG OLED Cx or the Sony XH95

Any advice? Should i pick up the clearance sets this year or wait for 2021 sets?

Yeah looks like Cx outperforms the sony by far...so the extra few hundred + 2.1 hdmi wins the vote i reckon.

OLED doesn't suit everyone. If it suits you it's the far better choice, if it doesn't though the Sony is the pick of LCDs and has seen better prices than they currently are.
