Hi everyone,

i need your help for find the best tv :D.

I will use to playing with PS4 Pro at 4K with a decent HDR, good input lag and for watching Sport (Football and NBA) at 1080i or 1080p.

I have a bad experience with Samsung and NU8000, and do not want buy another Samsung!

Any suggestion? My budget is 700€ :D

Thank you!

First TV to have decent HDR is the Sony XF9005 but the next best, with average is the NU8000.

There are no alternatives, the other manufacturers models akin to the NU8000 in price are worse with HDR and tend to me much worse TVs overall.

Thank you for your answer. Bad news, do you have alternative idea?

No not really. The Samsung models that best the NU8000 with HDR like the Q7FN and Q8FN are usually more expensive than even the Sony XF9005. Lesser Sony models perform worse than the NU8000 with HDR and other TVs in budget from the likes of Hisense, Panasonic and Philips also are worse options than the NU8000.

Other option would be to save up for a better, more expensive TV or look at ex/display refurbished models if available.

In the UK Sony have a refurbished store on the internet where they sell the XF9005 for about £800. That is probably as cheap as you can get a model that comes with good HDR.

Last option maybe looking at second hand market. There were some capable HDR TVs sold in 2016 and 2017 that may be available cheaper. Sony's XE9005 and Samsung's Q7F come to mind from 2017, together with all the OLED models.

From 2016 there is Samsung's KS series (KS7000,KS8000 etc), Panasonic DX900, Sony XD93 and again, all the OLEDs that are good with HDR

Philips are too bad? I see PUS7503 and PUS7803, Sony XF9005 will be a best option but too expensive.

Samsung have the best quality/price ratio but i have a bad experience with two different panel with technical problem and in my city there is a bad assistance point.

The 7 series Philips models are akin in performance to much cheaper TVs like the Hisense A series, a lot lower spec than the NU8000. They do not have wide colour gamuts even to display richer colours with HDR. They also get nowhere as bright and have poor smart TV/hdmi connectivity.

If its panel uniformity issues you had, you can expect to find them with all LCDs with HDR, that is just because the light output behind the TV is too much for them to cope with. Even more expensive TVs with local dimming such as the Sony XF9005 struggle with this.

I know this, the panel uniformity is a generic problem with LCDs but with Samsung i had more problems. Black screen issue at startup (probably software with mode game to on), three assistances technical, two motherboard replaced, and finally a new tv with horrible ghosting and the same issues...

I still know, Samsung is a best ratio tv/price at this level but my experience is very bad for buy another Samsung.

Thats unfortunate, maybe you could use the opputunity to save some money and go for the Hisense U7A (perhaps even a bigger TV in size?) and then save up for a better HDR TV in the future.

Unfortunately the manufacturers put HDR on anything, the Hisense U7A is at least a good value SDR TV. Better value than Philips.

Yes probably is only bad luck but I'm very tired to call Samsung :D

U7A is been my first choice before buy NU8000, I'm save a lot of money but I don't change tv any 2-3 years.

The second idea is buy a Sony 49XF9005 if will find a good offer with no iva.

Third idea: buy another Samsung, Q6FN.

I don't know :D

The Sony XF9005 would be the best option. The Q6FN is just a NU8000 with a wider colour gamut, the rest of the TV is the same.

Thank you man for your help! Now i'm official without a tv, my NU8000 went to assistance and i'm waiting Samsung to refund me.

The "choice" is still open. I don't know, probably the best choice is LG55B8 but for now is impossibile :D

Sony 49XF9005 is too expensive, NU8000 and Q6FN, another Samsung? Better...say no.

55U7A from 480 to 511€ (+Price +Refresh -HDR -Smart TV)
55PUS7803 at 699€ (+Ambilight -50hz panel (seriously?) )
55DC760 699€ (-before was 518€ + Best Awards TV Budget)
50UK6950 499€ (+VA +Smart TV +Input Lag +Price -50" -230 Nits)

I'm very confused. :D

The options are all lacklustre compared to the NU8000 really. Hisense U7A is clearly the best overall package though, with its 120hz panel compared to the competition.

Thank you man, finally i bought...55NU8000, again! :D

I bought it from Amazon, 4 years of warranty. And i'll pray that's ok! But if i have a problem, i will talk with Amazon and not to local assistance.

Thank you for your patience!
