50in IPS screen availability

Does anyone know if there any new 50in TV's with a IPS screen available in 2022? My old Samsung 40in LE87bdx has to be switched on with no input for at least 10 mins before I turn on my foxsat PVR or it turns itself on and off. So I assume it will die on me soon. I only watch Freesat channels and BT sport via a Chromecast so don't really need a high end TV. However viewing angle is important. I have thought about an OLED but think it would be a bit ott for my needs. It's a pity manufacturers don't let us know what panels they put in their sets! Many thanks Uppo

you need to look at LG 49 inch sets most should be IPS not 50-inch size.

50" is always VA. Need to look at 49" and even then, be careful because some models will be VA.

In 2021 ranges there's been an increase in VA panels at 50" replacing 49" IPS ones.

LGs 49" Nano models may be your best bet, or a 49" Sony if you can find one. Beware the Sony X85J/X91J are not IPS at 49" though. The 49" Sony X7xxx models may also be VA rather than IPS.

If you can get an OLED you'll get perfect viewing angles. Think about the 48" LG A1 which will be miles better than anything else using IPS LCD tech.

Thanks both. Yes I think I will go down the oled route, it will give me good viewing angles and if I ever subscribe to Netflix or BT sport 4k it will be capable. If the old Samsung totters on long enough I might get to BF deals on 2022 models!
