50hz or 60hz on the virgin v+ box

Thanks ,that is why i have only been able to get a signal with 1080i with my dvi to hdmi,my television only supports 720p at 60hz were as the 1080i supports signals at 50 and 60hz i thought it was down to the v+ box.will ring virgin and tell them not send the tec out know,Thanks for the info:thumbsup:just spoke to virgin and they dont know what it supports 50-60hz, say`s it all dosent it .Are you 100 hundred percent sure badger0-0 that its only 50hz,i dont want to sound ungrateful about the info ,but i need 2 know for sure.

It's nothing to be concerned about.
Most people see very little difference in quality between 720 and 1080.
I doubt you're losing out :smashin:

It `s just for my peace of mind knowing that this v+box only supports 50hz so i can say fine ,i can only get 1080i because because my tele only supports 50-60 hz in 1080i and only 720p at 60 hz.So sorry too ask the question again are you sure the v+ only supports 50hz and not both.sorry to be a pain in the bum

Well, I've not seen a setting for it and anyway, 60hz is for non-UK use.
All UK transmissions are in 50hz, I believe.

It's pretty fair to say the box is 50hz only.
