I have a hdtv Toshiba wlt68 .I haven't got my hands on a component cable yet and as i have cable tv plugged into the 1st scart socket i use my Wii in scart socket 2 at the moment.I looked at my Wii settings last night and it had the setting on 50hz 576i. Could you tell me which i should be playing games on at the moment 50hz 576i or 60hz 480i .

TBH whichever looks best.....some say 576 as it has better resolution and some say 480 as its 60hz, supposed smoother frame rate...

i have toshiba 37" and cannot really see the difference between the 2....

if and when you get component, you will notice a much crisper picture...better text, better colours etc

Which ever one you think looks best. Try them out with a couple of games and see which one you like.

Most people lean toward 576i, but it depends on the TV and the viewer.

Thanks,i've been so busy i've hardly had time to play it in recent days,i only noticed last night as i connected up to wireless then had a look through all the other settings.I should have more time now to get back to playing Wii sports and then when i get component i'll start playing through Zelda.
