50GT30 picture settings

Hi. The best settings for your set will be different to those of every other set. This is a reflection of the cumulative differences in the thousands of components that make up your TV and your own unique room conditions. What you ought to look to do is to buy a calibration disc like DVE or Spears and Munsil (have a look on Amazon) or download AVS709 (do a Google search) and burn your own disc. These will lead you through setting basic controls like Brightness and Contrast, Color and Tint. Also check out the AVForums review of the GT30 for recommended settings. This will make a big difference to your picture. But the GT30 is capable of much more and only a professional calibration will bring this out. If you're up for this you can find an AVForums endorsed calibrator near you by clicking here. I hope that helps. :)
