505 XDE RGB input setting help

    Can anyone please help me. I have connected my sky box to the plasma media box with a scart lead. When i try to set the input to RGB i get no picture just sound, and when i set to Video i get picture and sound. I cannot set to RGB. Please help!!!!

    1. Make sure you are using Scart input 1 on the media box.

    2. Ensure the SKY box is set to RGB (press "services" on the remote, go to picture settings, ensure RGB is set and then save settings).

    Thanks for your help. However scart in in input 1 and also sky box is set to RGB. Do you think i should try and change my scart lead.

    It's worth a try. Some scart cables are not fully wired.

    Make sure "scart control" is on, on the Sky picture settings menu.

    is the pq better when in rgb mode

    Normally, yes, much better. I say normally because I have an very old JVC crt in the bedroom whos colours are washed out and dull in RGB mode although the picture, digital text etc. being much sharper.

    Composite (video) -> S-video (svhs) -> RGB.

    You could then probably add
    Component -> DVI.

    Still cant get my XDE 505 to work in RGB mode. Does anyone else have this problem
