500gb hdd best partition sizes?

Hi,:hiya:
Just about to install a new 500GB HDD, purely as a data store. I wondered what the current thinking was on Partition sizing on large HDD.
I am not thinking about the data organisation, more on the most efficient use of the drive.
I always thought that using one large partition incurred larger block sizes but I don't want 5 x100GB parts' to further complicate the drive letter listings.
Should I also use FAT32 ?

Ok, obviously nobody can help... so I found this site which sort of covers all bets.

I'll probably create one small 30GB NTFS PTN in case I want to convert to a system disk at a later date and keep the rest as one large NTFS PTN for data storage. :rolleyes:
