50" plasma's? What do i go for?

    I have been asked by my fater in law to buy a 50" plasma for his snooker room, on a personal basis i have a 37 viera so i imagine to go for the 50" HD version, is this available and am i right in assuming this is the best plasma??

    you need to auditon the outstanidng Fujitsu 50XHA40US with the Panny HD 50"..

    Your problem here is that 50" is awfully big, and IMHO no manufacturer makes a 50" with good enough internal processing to cope. You need a scaler with any 50", the viera 50 is not ideally suited to this. The Pansonic PHD7 panel is better, or the Fujitsu, which is 'HD ready' also. It might easily depend on just how picky your dad is on picture. If he wants a stonking great screen on the wall to impress folks with, then the viera will be fine. If he wants top picture quality, seek elsewhere.
