    One word, WoW

Its just arrived, like 2 mins ago, I've just took the top off the box and am sitting in awe, its just sat in its little bottom box.

It looks a little bit too big!! If thats possible, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Will get pics of the in progress scene...

And I've got a load of questions to ask now regarding setup, first thing I wanted to know if there was a test screen I could get up without plugging any sources in to test it works and for dead pixels, any ideas?

    Cheers

    Ryan

Just turned it on and checked for dead pixels with the white screen saver function and to my horror I say three, I watched them for a moment and then I was going to get a picture and was trying to focus in on them (they were in a group about an inch apart) when I noticed I couldn't find them, amazingly they seem to have disapeared in the few minutes the screens been on! Thank god, as they where right near the middle and quite obvious....

Welcome to the club Ryan :smashin:

I too found that the stand was a tad too deep so I built a small plinth which the plasma stand stands on which then has room below for my current centre speaker.

However I am going to wall mount mine soon along with my Kef 9000ACE speakers which will look neater I think.

As for test screens you can find them in the service menu area but a safer bet might be via a PC.

    Cheers, Lee

BTW do you still plan to sit just 9-10ft away :D

I'll get my post sorted on the "get your plasmas out thread" asap.

    Cheers

    Ryan

Lee, I've just measured and now that its all in, I'm only 8.5ft away now and its amazing, even NTL through a Tivo via the scart input, don't know how to go about setting up the Lumagen yet (this is gonna be a major source of my many questions) but even with no tweaking, dvd through lumagen at 720p 60hz, its stunning, why would anyone want to be further away!

Lee, don't suppose you'd want to pass on that plinth to a new home, supposing it would fit my Kef Q9c underneath?? ;)
