Almost ready to commit to spending a huge amount of money on a 50" plasma, but am not sure which manufacturer to go with. Like most people it will be used mostly for Sky, DVD's and the occasional bash with the PS2. I would like it to be HDTV ready as will not be purchasing another one for quite a while. The choices are between Pioneer 505XDE and Panasonic's Viera. The Panasonic has a better resolution being 1329 x 870 against 1280 x 768. Speakers that come with the screen will not be used as my 5.1 setup will be used at all times. My current DVD player is Denon 2900 but am looking to upgrade to either 2910 or 3910 as both have a built in scaler which really improves picture on HD panels. Can anyone give their views on either or both of these screens as they both have great reviews?????? PLEASE??????
