I am a happy owner of the Sony HX750 46 inch.

I can only spend around 1000-1200 euros.... so for that money my options are the 50 inch Sony W805b or Sammy H6400.

1) The viewing distance is 1.90m... i must admit that i dont feel that my current 46 inch is big... so i think i should go for 50 and not 55 inch.

2) I use it mostly for video games and movies/tvshoes... Sony has lower input lag than Sammy... but which one has the best blacks and better 2d picture quality/refresh rate?

3)Is Sony W805b overall better than my HX750?

4) What do you thing about LG models like 670V... is it true that their black levels/contrast are awful?

I would not upgrade from 46" to 50". Too small change. Get 55 and sit more back if needed for SD.
I would go for Sony 55W829/50W829. (or 828 if you are outside UK)

Hi - I just saw your request. Thanks for asking me, hope I can help you out.

At 1.9m, I would not recommend going bigger than 50" as 55" will not feel comfortable to watch. I have personally tried 55" too close and it is not enjoyable - it does not make it more immersive at all. 50" would be a good upgrade as 2.35 (letterbox) movies and 4:3 TV content 'open up' a lot more than on a 46" screen at 50".

Sony is the ideal choice here. The black levels are better, the gaming lag is the best in the market and 2D is excellent on the Sony. If you are not interested in 3D, have you considered the KDL-50W705? It is very similar to the W805b but 2D only.

I would discount the Samsung and stick with the Sony, especially as you're already coming from one. The W805 is better than the HX750 and the sound quality is much better.
