    Hi,

I have had my DVD player for around 6 months now and am loving every minute of watching films on it. However, the 5.1 bug is really starting to bite.

As I am still in the student world about to undertake a post-grad teacher training course I do not have funds to purchase a receiver + speakers. Especially as I would like something along the lines of the SR4400 + Canton CD-1 :D

However, I don't see that I can wait another 16 months unitl I receive my first wage to purchase such luxuries!

Are there any 5.1 systems (like the Aego P5) that I can connect to my S75 in order to quench my thirst for 5.1, without the need for a separate amp/rec? i.e. do any speakers power themselves and you just need to feed the player signal to them?

Any suggestions would be greatfully welcomed.

By the way, my budget is tight, tight, tight! So the cheaper the better!

    Thanks,

    Mark.

Connect it to your HiFi until you buy a proper thing!

check out the 'acoustic solutions' & LG 5.1 home cinema systems from ARGOS.
These have the amp built into the sub to power all speakers.

Have already done this! The sound is obviously better, but it just isn't cutting it when there is the potential for 5.1!

Sorry to be a pain in the :censored:

But which systems have you experienced. I have just had a look on the Argos website and there seem to be a number of packages ranging from £70 - £150.

Also, I would appreciate anyone else's comments, especially if they have had experience of the product or any other Videologic products?
