i currently have a labtec 2.1 system hooked up to my laptop.
i would like to get some quality speakers, but i need a external usb sound card.

i should be getting some money soon, so if i buy this sound card with these 2 eltax speakers and a decent subwoofer and my ****ty 2 labtec speakers.

would that work ? i.e. can i get the speaker connectors to connect to the usb sound card?

    Sadly, no.

For the eltax speakers and subwoofer, you will need an AV amp which you could then plug the sound card into.

If you want to just use the soundcard, you will need 5.1 computer speakers (creative labs etc.)

If you go down the AV amp route, you will need 5 new speakers, the current computer ones won't work

    Hope this helps a bit

    thanks andrew.

i think a few months back, my neighbour was wanting to sell his Phillips Home Cinema system, i might buy that off him. although the front left speaker has bust on his system.
