    Hi all,

I'm quite new to the audio scene but I am looking to buy a 5.1 surround sound setup for moderate gaming and films on my Playstation 3 and PC. I am aware I won't get true surround sound on my ps3 without a decoder and an optical cable etc.

So as the title says I am looking for a 5.1 system, but with one catch. I am looking to spend around £100 and a max of 150 on it. Should I go for something like a Logitech z-506 with simulated surround sound which would be new, or a 2nd hand system that is a few years old to give me proper surround sound (ie a pioneerHTP-GS1?)

    Thanks in advance!

PS: My god I do ramble on sometimes

How about a secondhand avr and speaker set up, might be hard pushed to get it at that price but could done.
Have a look in the classifieds
Richer sounds have a Yamaha 5.1 set up which looks good for £150 or a pioneer avr set up for £200
