    Hi,

I've recently moved into a new home and I'm looking for some help with speaker placement. The main issue I'm having is that my tv is in the corner of the room, flanked by a large window on one side and a fireplace on the other.

I've attached a couple pictures of the room (excuse the mess) and will try and get a rough sketch added shortly if required.

Unfortunately can't reposition any of the furniture so need to make the most of what's there.

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Do you already own the speakers you aim to put in here? Are you considering wall mounting or stand mounting? I think whatever you do you'll be selecting a the 'least worst' solution.
Given the very constrained space you have around the TV, you may want to go for a phantom centre (4.1 system)? Another option may be a soundbar?

I already own them. Here's a link to what I've got: HKTS 9 - Harman Kardon

I was going to wall mount the rear two above my sofa. It's the front two & centre I'm struggling with.

Open to using stands if that would work best.

I think some wall brackets and positioned one next to the window and the other by the fireplace is the bat you can do. Try the one next to the fireplace above it (e.g. on the mantle) and to the side to see how much influence the sound is changed by being against the fire surround.

Given the fairly narrow spread of the front pair, and the limited space, I suggest you try out the sound without it (set up as phantom centre or 4.1 which sends the centre channel to the front speaker pair).

What are all the things in the fireplace?
Couldn't you replace the TV to there?

A 2.1 system or a Soundbar (set to 3-beam mode) + Sub would work best.
