Does anyone know which (if any) DVD Recorders have an onboard 5.1 decoder (ie 6 phonos, FR,FL,C,RR,RL,S etc.) to connect to an older AV amp (a NAD in my case). I've looked at many models but a lot of the descriptions aren't clear!

If there are none, I'll have to buy a new AV amp or keep my existing DVD as well (neither too wife friendly!!)

    Thanks in advance,

    Andy

The only recorder that has this is the Panasonic E500 - has Dolby Digital, DTS and DVD-Audio decoding.
