5.1 help

If you buy the right card, you should be able to pass the bitstream out via optical/coax to leave the 595 to decode.

There have been a few threads recently discussing which cards do pass through the spdif.

Mind you, if you want 5.1 in games, then you may want a 5.1 card so you can pump that out in to the inputs on the amp.

One thing that might be worth mentioning - the 595 (IIRC) doesn't do DTS decoding, only DD.

is it a decent amp? ive been offered it and the above speakers for £320
 
If i was getting an amp with no dts decoding but a 6 chan imput i would be thinking of gettign the Abit AU10-R 6Ch Sound with DTS .You can get it from here for £33.49 and it comes with a full version of windvd and a pc remote
