5.1 from Freeview hd

I have noticed elseware that there may be a problem on Freeview hd boxes with the 5.1 optical o/p only giving two channel stereo and no surround.
Has anyone had this problem.

Seems to me that rushing the boxes out for this pain in the neck world cup has caused bugs in the works

No doubt true. But all the companies have proved themselves very capable of messing up PVR software without any great rush.
