Hi guys i might be interested to go dolby atmos but im not sure what is the right set up here.
my room is a square shape with my main listening position is in the center but right at the back wall.
in a 5.1 set up i usally have 3 speakers in the front with a sub and 2 rear speakers mounted to either side of the wall beside me above head height.
i have no space at the back for 7.1 etc.
so what will be my best option? go 5.1.2 using upward firing speakers at the front or go 5.1.4 also adding upward firing speakers at above the rear speakers at the back?
also my room size is 11 by 11 feet and ceiling is only 8ft hence thing upward firing is my best option.
if i go with physical speakers for atmos cant i mount the speakers high up on the side walls facing towards me downwards? i cant drill holes in the ceiling that isnt possible in my case.
other thing might be to get auro 3d and have front heights and back heights above my front and rear speakers? as i understand thats how auro 3d is set up?
can someone help me out here many thanks.
