Can anyone answer this question (because I am dammed if I am going to search too hard out of fear of 'spoilers'). Is this 4th season still being shot even though it has been airing on TV already? Sorry to sound so simple.

Season 3 has been the poorest out of them all so far. still a totally enjoyable season but id hardly say some where perfection, season 1 on the other hand had some sublime episodes and is my fav season up to date (cant count S4 as it hasnt finished)

Looking forward to getting this as well, i really liked series three. I dont watch it on TV just wait for the dvds to come out, it would be too suspenseful waiting a week for the next episode :)

    Indeed.

Was talking to my neighbours yesterday about this.

They watched the previous seasons on DVD in large chunks. They now have Sky and have been watching S4 but said it was bloody frustrating with the adverts and when an episode is finished and you have to wait a week for the next one. DOH!

    Probably.

Aint gonna get it for £17.99 like I did with Season 3 :D

Not unless I wait a year or 2 which I'll probably find hard to do this time.

Well, it will still be worth it - we all did well to get Season 1-3 for under £20 :)

I don't want to start a whole thing about the pros/cons/illegality of downloading TV shows on the WWW, but for my money, Day 4 of 24 is by and far the best yet.

It's been a while since I watched Day 1, but I remember it lagging occasionally, and Days 2 and 3 certainly had their "quiet" episodes - well I've seen 17 episodes of the new one and not one has been poor.

    Absolutely fantastic season.

    I havn't even picked up Seasons 1 & 2 yet :(

I think I asked a question about the Season 1 (R2) box set on the other 24 thread but alas, no answer was forthcoming so I held of buying it.....

    Here you go Jack ;)

Can't believe i'm going to have to wait till Aug to see this

Don't have Sky so DVD it will be.

I just finished watching Season (oh my god it was so fecking awesome) 3 but I might have to watch it again (or buy one of the other 2 seasons) to fill the gap.

Incidentally, does anyone know wether the S1 R2 box set on sale now will have the updated discs (remember there was an issue with some of the discs on the original release) and if theres any way of knowing before buying. Serial number on the box or something..

    TIA

they indeed do have the updated disks. trust me go out and get both series. if you liked #3 then 1,2 will blow you away. S1 is just amazing and S2 is so fast paced. im sorry to say but after you watch them you will want to hang your self for watching S3 first

    Thanks for the info Jack.

Just wanted to be sure. Thought that some shops may still have some old box sets around and didn't want one of these up :)

    PS, When I mentioned that I hadn't picked up S1/2 yet, I didn't mean that I hadn't seen them.

Saw them on the Beeb when they first aired.

Just couldn't wait any longer for Season 3 so I got that first :)

    No hanging this time ;)

I know I said that I thought S3 was awesome. S1/2 were too. Guess that becuase S3 is fresh in my memory it's my favourite. Looking forward watching S1/2 again then though. Season 1 = lot's of Nina = :smashin:

Will now pick up both box sets soon, watch them both, watch S3 again then await S4 :D

all I can say is if season 4 is going to be better than the first 3, I cant see myself watching the full season in more than one session! I best set a full day aside for this!!

Until 2 weeks ago, I had never seen a single episode of 24....
until a friend at work lent me season one.

Within 2 episodes I was hooked! I Finished season one off in a few nights, returned the discs and was offered the loan of season two.... and season three (a nice bloke who obviously trusts I'll look after them).
I've sinced watched season two, but I think I need a 6 month recovery period before attempting season three.

These things are so addictive. The best made for TV program I've ever seen.
I strongly advise you make sure you have no heavy work commitments in the week you decide to watch them.... its very hard to stop watching once you start and you'll be on for a run of very late nights!!!

As a matter of interest, can anyone who has been watching S4 on Sky (unlike me) answer the following please?

One of the 'extras' on S3 DVD was a "preview" of S4 - along with strong language. Is this truly part of the new season please? Obviously, no details or spoilers please.

    Cheers.

That's kind but no thanks mate. I was only curious as to whether Jack uses the F-word in S4 as it appears on that S3 DVD preview of S4...if that makes sense!

    Cheers.

Okay mate, thanks (as I said just curious) - it seemed very out of character for the show to use that language I thought!
