People around here like details...

Will you use 4k? (streaming netflix and so on)
Will you game?
Movies/general tv viewing?

I don't know too much about the technical aspects of the sets (I'll leave that to others), but according to the spec sheet the 4k tv will play 4k blurays when they are released.

Well you still missed off the important bit, are you interested in 4k? Is your internet fast enough to stream 4k? I think you need 50mb+ but best check that first. If not get the 1080p. The Samsung would likely be the better built TV. I've never heard of Sceptre. I'm assuming it's a generic cheap TV that gets rebranded.

I am interested in 4k but most streaming networks don't work with 4k. So most of the time I'm not even using 4k. Sceptre is a generic cheap brand. I ordered the Samsung also. So I'm going to see which one works out better for me. But I have some pretty fast Internet.
