Is it just me or is anybody else diserpointed with 4k. Upgraded my old sony 2013 model with a new lg 4k led. Set it up using the AV forums picture perfect and still Let down with it. Doesn't look like it did in the shop even. 4k content is poor Amazon prime 4k doesn't look much than 1080p. Not bought any 4k bluerays yet not cheap at all.

    How good is your eyesight?

How close do you sit to it?

How big is your 4K set?

How much did you pay for your new set?

If you had a good previous set then you won't be so impressed as if your previous set was a small, HD Ready supermarket special.

What are you watching on it?

What about HDR or Dolby Video?

Not looking like it did in the shop is a very good thing. Tvs look hideous in shops.
My 2017 LG OLED is a superb tv and everything looks great on it. What 4k programmes have you tried on Amazon?

Having gone from a Kuro and VT65 to an LG C8, yes, 4k is fantastic. I am still blown away by detail in scenes. HDR takes it to an entirely different level.

Which TV do you have? What is your internet connection speed?

If you're not on fibre you will not get a 4K stream. My Netflix downgrades to 1080p because my 10 Mbps broadband can't keep up.

Whites on a correctly setup tv should look like a piece of paper being held up to the sun, they are yellow in tone, this is correct and probably because you're used to how your old TV was setup straight out of the box in vivid mode no doubt where the whites would have had too much blue in them to make them look whiter, it just takes some getting used to watching a more visually correct image if you're used to an incorrect image

You do realize that there is a separate entry for the 4K versions of these on Amazon Prime. If you just play the first one you come to it is in 1K. You must see the UHD in the thumbnail and the HDR/DV icon in the description. Amazon hides the 4k versions, scroll way way down on the home menu.

I think you mean it's in 2K/1080p as standard. 1K would be under 720p!

The K's measure horizontal pixels, the i's and p's measure vertical resolution. 4k is 2160p.
