I recently purchased a high speed 4k hdmi cable to connect a 4k player to my 4k TV and I sometimes lose the hdr signal. Is it possible that I was sold a dodgy cable and how would I be able to tell if that it is a dodgy cable.

You can either try the cable with a different combination of hardware or try another cable with the current hardware.

How long is the HDMI cable?

'The cable is 2 meters' - simple enough to try out an alternative 'High Speed' or 'Premium High Speed' cable to prove if the cable is the issue.

Thank you for your advice. Which uhd port is the correct one to use. Uhd 4:2:0 or uhd 4:4:4/4:2:2

This info is based on a thread from Cedia forums

HDMI Data Rates for 4K HDR

But it appears that HDMI 2.0 does not have the bandwidth to support HDR at 4K 60fps (which requires a data rate of 20Gbs) which is 4:4:4 So unless you are using devices both with HDMI 2.1 then you are limited to either 4k 30 FPS 4:4:4 or 4K 60 FPS 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 if you want HDR

If my understanding is incorrect, I apologise.
