4K disc player that has a forced 5.1 mode for 7.1 content?

Hello, everyone.

I have a Marantz SR5001. It does not decode Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD. It can handle PCM signals over HDMI, but, despite being able to hook up a 7.1 system to it, it does not properly handle 7.1 PCM over HDMI. The receiver gets confused and outputs a bizarre stereo signal with ultra-low volume when it receives such a 7.1 signal. I believe there was a firmware update for this Marantz several years ago that fixed the issue, but the ship has sailed on obtaining the required firmware files.

To combat this, I...got a new receiver ;)

However, I'd like to give the Marantz to a family member for her 5.1 system and help her locate an appropriate 4K disc player. The mishandling of the 7.1 PCM signals occurs even if the Marantz has its surround backs set to "OFF" in the settings. Here is my question:

Is there a dedicated 4K disc player that can internally force a 7.1 signal (Dolby, DTS, or PCM) to be output as downmixed 5.1 PCM over HDMI? The Xbox One S DOES do this via its "Uncompressed 5.1" audio setting, but I am hoping to find a dedicated movie player instead of a game console. I also realize that a player with multichannel RCA out will do what I desire, but those are more expensive than the game consoles.

Thank you in advance!
